Santa Clara, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – The San Francisco 49ers placed
cornerback Chris Cook and center Daniel Kilgore on injured reserve Saturday.
Kilgore had surgery earlier in the week to repair a fractured left leg he
suffered in last week’s loss to Denver, while Cook suffered a torn hamstring
in the same game.
The team signed safety and special teams player Bubba Ventrone to a one-year
deal to fill one of the roster spots. He appeared in two games earlier this
season with San Francisco and played in all 16 last season.
