Arrest made in Morgan State stabbing case

Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) – Baltimore police said Wednesday a suspect
was arrested in connection to this week’s stabbing involving Morgan State
football players.

The suspect was not publicly identified. The altercation occurred outside a
campus dining hall Tuesday afternoon.

Police initially said three victims were stabbed, but on Wednesday the
Baltimore Sun reported two players were stabbed and the third player suffered
abrasions from the attack yet had not been stabbed.

One of the victims was hospitalized in serious condition after being stabbed in
the chest.

The incident occurred at a gathering sponsored by the Morgan State student
government and several fraternities and sororities. A university spokesman said
a suspect was observed swinging a knife outside the cafeteria.

Morgan State earned a spot in the 2014 FCS playoffs as the champion of the Mid-
Eastern Athletic Conference.
