Lake Forest, IL (SportsNetwork.com) – Chicago Bears wide receiver Marquess
Wilson was activated from injured reserve/designated to return Friday and is
expected to make his season debut in this weekend’s game against Minnesota.
The Bears placed Wilson on recallable IR in early September after he broke his
collarbone during training camp.
Wilson will serve as Chicago’s No. 3 receiver behind standouts Brandon
Marshall and Alshon Jeffrey for Sunday’s matchup with the Vikings. Veteran
Santonio Holmes had held that role earlier in the season, but managed just
eight catches in nine games and was released on Tuesday.
A seventh-round pick of the Bears in the 2013 draft, Wilson had two catches
totaling 13 yards in 10 games during his rookie season.
