Bengals make offer to RFA Lamur

Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) – The Cincinnati Bengals extended a tender
offer to restricted free agent linebacker Emmanuel Lamur prior to Tuesday’s
deadline to do so.

ESPN.com reported that Lamur received a second-round tender, which would pay
the 2014 starter a $2.356 million salary next season if he accepts. Lamur is
still eligible to negotiate with other teams, with the Bengals receiving a
second-round draft pick as compensation if he signs elsewhere.

Lamur ranked third among Cincinnati players with 90 tackles while starting 13-
of-14 games last season. The 25-year-old added a pair of interceptions and
seven passes defensed.

Signed by the Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2012, Lamur played in nine
games as rookie before missing all of the 2013 season with a shoulder injury.

Cincinnati also retained cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris, an exclusive rights
free agent who has appeared in 10 games with the team over the past two
seasons.
