Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) – Cincinnati Bengals right offensive tackle
Andre Smith was placed on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday.
Smith left Sunday’s win over Houston with an arm injury that was later
revealed to be a torn left triceps. He will undergo surgery and is expected to
be ready for next season.
Cincinnati made Smith the sixth overall pick in the 2009 draft, and he’s grown
into one of the best offensive tackles and run blockers in the league. He has
been the team’s starting right tackle since 2011.
In corresponding move, the Bengals signed offensive tackle Jamon Meredith.
