Bridgewater leads Vikings over Falcons

Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) – Teddy Bridgewater passed for 317 yards
in his first NFL start before leaving on a cart and the Minnesota Vikings beat
the Atlanta Falcons 41-28 on Sunday.

Bridgewater suffered an ankle injury near the end of a drive in the fourth
quarter that ended with the Vikings gambling on fourth down at the 1-yard
line, leading to Matt Asiata’s go-ahead touchdown with 10:50 remaining.

Asiata rushed for 78 yards and three touchdowns and Jerick McKinnon gained 135
yards on 18 carries as the Vikings (2-2) won for the first time in three games
since Adrian Peterson was indicted on child-abuse charges and deactivated.

Matt Ryan passed for 298 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions for the
Falcons (2-2), who played 10 days after their last game, a 56-14 rout of Tampa
Bay on Thursday night.
