Englewood, CO (SportsNetwork.com) – The Denver Broncos signed former
Buccaneers kicker Connor Barth and waived kicker Brandon McManus on Tuesday.
McManus took over kicking duties after the team cut Matt Prater, a Pro Bowler
last year. The Temple product struggled at times and was 9-of-13 on field goal
attempts for the Broncos this season.
The 23-year-old McManus, who was acquired in a trade before the season, missed
a 33-yard field goal attempt during Sunday’s 39-36 victory over Miami. That
proved to be the final straw for McManus.
Barth last played in the NFL for the Buccaneers in 2012, when he converted 28-
of-33 field goal attempts. He missed the 2013 season after tearing his
