Englewood, CO (SportsNetwork.com) – The Denver Broncos have listed star tight
end Julius Thomas as questionable for Sunday’s key AFC West clash at Kansas
City due to a sprained left ankle that kept him out of the team’s last game.
Thomas, the NFL’s leader with 12 touchdown catches this season, was a limited
practice participant for a second straight day on Friday. The playmaking tight
end was also termed questionable heading into this past Sunday’s contest
against Miami but was inactive.
Denver, which owns a one-game edge on the Chiefs for first place in the
division, is also uncertain about the availability of top cornerback Aqib
Talib, who exited the Miami game with a hamstring injury.
Talib practiced some on Friday after sitting out the previous two days and is
also termed questionable on the final injury report.
Linebacker Brandon Marshall, the Broncos’ leading tackler, is expected to play
after passing the NFL protocol for a concussion he sustained against the
Dolphins.
Running backs Ronnie Hillman (foot) and Montee Ball (groin) remain sidelined
for Denver. C.J. Anderson served as the lead back last week and put up a
career-best 167 rushing yards in the 39-36 win over Miami.
