(SportsNetwork.com) – The Cleveland Browns activated wide receiver Josh Gordon
on Saturday, a day before he is set to make his season debut against Atlanta.
Gordon was activated at the end of a suspension for violating the NFL’s policy
on substance abuse.
An initial season-long suspension was reduced to 10 games in September after
the league and players union agreed on changes to their policies on substance
abuse and performance-enhancing drugs.
Gordon, 23, led the NFL with 1,646 yards last season and made the Pro Bowl for
the first time.
The Browns also waived linebacker Keith Pough.
