Buffalo, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – The University at Buffalo fired head
football coach Jeff Quinn on Monday.
Quinn was in his fifth season with the Bulls, who are 3-4 with two victories
against FCS teams. He was 20-36 overall.
“It is with great disappointment that we have to make this change,” said
athletics director Danny White. “Unfortunately, the performance on the field
this season and over Coach Quinn’s tenure has not matched our expectations for
the growth of Bulls football.”
Buffalo went 8-5 last season with a bowl trip to Idaho.
Offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Alex Wood has been named interim head
football coach for the remainder of the season.
A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
