Miami, FL (SportsNetwork.com) – Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles
is inactive for Sunday’s game against Miami with a sprained ankle.
Charles returned to practice Thursday, albeit in a limited capacity, just four
days after head coach Andy Reid said the 2013 AFC rushing leader suffered a
high ankle sprain in a Week 2 loss at Denver.
He was also a limited participant during Friday’s practice and was listed as
questionable on the final injury report.
Safety Eric Berry, who also sprained his ankle in Sunday’s 24-17 loss to the
Broncos, had already been ruled out after missing a third straight practice on
Friday.
Rookie running back/return specialist De’Anthony Thomas was also among the
inactives and will miss a third consecutive game due to a lingering hamstring
injury.
