Kansas City, MO (SportsNetwork.com) – The Kansas City Chiefs signed defensive
end Allen Bailey to a contract extension on Saturday.
Terms of the contract were not released, but NFL.com reported the agreement to
be a four-year deal worth $25 million.
Bailey has risen to being a full-time starter in his fourth season with the
Chiefs and has totaled 27 tackles and four sacks through nine games.
“We are happy that we were able to reach an agreement to keep Allen in Kansas
City,” Chiefs general manager John Dorsey said. “He has developed into a good
football player and a key member of our defense.”
The University of Miami-Florida product was selected in the third round of he
2011 draft and has amassed 72 tackles and six sacks over 50 career games.
