Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) – The Indianapolis Colts released veteran
linebacker Shaun Phillips on Monday.
Phillips, 33, played in five regular-season games and three playoff games with
the Colts after being claimed off waivers from the Tennessee Titans on Nov.
26.
The Purdue product has registered 561 tackles, 81 1/2 sacks and seven
interceptions in 168 career games (121 starts).
Phillips spent nine seasons with San Diego after being selected by the
Chargers in the fourth round of the 2004 draft. He played for the Denver
Broncos in 2013 before joining the Titans on a two-year deal last March.
