Dolphins edge Jets on Sturgis field goal

East Rutherford, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) – The Miami Dolphins finally won a
close one.

A much needed one at that.

Caleb Sturgis nailed a go-ahead 26-yard field goal with 1:57 left and the
Dolphins rallied for a 16-13 win over the run-heavy New York Jets on Monday
night.

Geno Smith, who had recorded just eight pass attempts heading into his final
drive, was intercepted by Miami safety Reshad Jones with 39 seconds remaining
to seal the outcome.

The Dolphins are one of six 7-5 teams in the AFC, but are currently the second
wild card in the conference due to the tiebreaker.
