Florida A&M fires Holmes, promotes Fuller

Tallahassee, FL (SportsNetwork.com) – Florida A&M fired head football coach
Earl Holmes and promoted assistant Corey Fuller to interim head football coach
on Wednesday.

Holmes had a 6-16 record, including 1-1 as interim coach in 2012. FAMU is 2-6
this season, including 2-2 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.

“This change was necessary at this time to provide new leadership and direction
for our students and to ensure that we can have a new coach in place in time to
build a staff and begin recruiting,” athletic director Kellen Winslow Sr. said
in a statement.

Winslow added a search committee has been formed to help find a new coach.

Fuller joined the Rattlers’ coaching staff in 2013 as an assistant coach. He
was a member of Florida State’s 1993 national championship team.

The Rattlers have four games remaining, including Saturday at home against
Norfolk State.
