Landover, MD (SportsNetwork.com) – Kai Forbath’s fourth field goal of the
contest, a 22-yard try, split the uprights as time expired and gave Washington
a 19-17 decision over Tennessee in Week 7 action.
Colt McCoy took over after halftime and led his club on the winning drive,
completing 11-of-12 passes overall for 128 yards and one score to Pierre
Garcon for the Redskins (2-5). Kirk Cousins was under center for the first
half, racking up 139 yards and an interception on 10-of-16 attempts.
Garcon finished with 87 yards on five receptions, while Alfred Morris totaled
54 yards on 18 carries.
Charlie Whitehurst ended up 17-of-26 for 160 yards, two touchdowns and one
pick for the Titans (2-5). Kendall Wright and Derek Hagan posted a TD grab
apiece and Bishop Sankey was held to 56 yards on 16 carries.
