Harris shines as No. 17 LSU routs New Mexico State

Baton Rouge, LA (SportsNetwork.com) – Freshman quarterback Brandon Harris took
over for Anthony Jennings in the second quarter and scored five total
touchdowns as the No. 17 LSU Tigers routed the New Mexico State Aggies, 63-7,
on Saturday.

Harris completed 11 of his 14 passes for 178 yards and three passing
touchdowns. He also added 36 yards and two scores on the ground for the Tigers
(4-1), who extended their non-conference regular season winning streak to 49
games.

Malachi Dupree, Travin Dural and Melvin Jones each caught a touchdown and
Leonard Fournette had a game-high 122 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries
in the win.

Tyler Rogers threw for 86 yards on 14-of-31 passing with two touchdowns for
the Aggies (2-3), who had Andrew Allen make five catches for 113 yards and a
touchdown.
