Santa Clara, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – Carlos Hyde’s late touchdown gave the
San Francisco 49ers a 17-13 win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday.
Colin Kaepernick was 20-for-29 for 256 yards with an interception and a
touchdown pass to Anquan Boldin for the 49ers (7-4), who have won their past
three games.
Coming off a tough week, Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III didn’t do
much to help himself in the game as he went 11-for-19 for 106 yards while
adding just 11 yards on the ground.
Griffin had said after last week’s loss to Tampa Bay about needing other guys
to play well, with some thinking he was throwing his team under the bus, which
he went on to deny on his Twitter account. On Monday, head coach Jay Gruden
pointed out fundamental issues Griffin was still having but then backtracked
on Wednesday by saying that no one should be singled out.
Alfred Morris had 21 carries for 125 yards and a touchdown for the Redskins
(3-8), who have lost their past three games.
