James Madison-Liberty game off in 2015

(SportsNetwork.com) – James Madison has opted out of a scheduled game at
Liberty on Sept. 26 to play FBS opponent SMU, but the two FCS programs have
agreed to seek future scheduling opportunities.

Liberty announced it will try to fill the date with a home game against another
FCS program.

“I want to specifically thank athletics director Jeff Barber and his staff at
Liberty for working with us on this change,” James Madison AD Jeff Bourne said.
“We look forward to finding a mutually agreeable date in the future to place
this game back on our respective schedules.”

James Madison has never played SMU.

Liberty traveled to James Madison last Thanksgiving weekend and defeated the
Dukes, 26-21, in their first-ever FCS playoff game.
