Jets’ Milliner has Achilles tear

Florham Park, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) – New York Jets cornerback Dee Milliner
is likely out for the season after suffering a torn Achilles tendon during
Sunday’s loss against the Denver Broncos.

Milliner exited in the first quarter following a field-goal attempt.

“There’s probably a definite chance of that,” Jets head coach Rex Ryan said
when asked if he’d be out for the year during Monday’s press conference.

The second-year Alabama product missed several games earlier this year with a
high ankle sprain.

Milliner has 62 tackles and three interceptions so far in his career.

In addition, Jets left guard Brian Winters will have surgery for an ACL
injury suffered in Sunday’s loss.
