Luck leads AFC’s top players for Week 3

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck,
San Diego Chargers defensive end Corey Liuget and Baltimore Ravens kicker
Justin Tucker have been named the AFC Players of the Week for their efforts in
Week 3.

Luck, the offensive player of the week, completed 31-of-39 passes for 370
yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions for a 140.4 passer rating in
the Colts’ 44-17 win against Jacksonville. His four touchdown passes tied a
career high and were the most among NFL players in Week 3.

The defensive player of the week, Liuget, had six tackles, one sack and a
forced fumble in San Diego’s 22-10 win at Buffalo. In the fourth quarter,
Liuget had a pair of game-deciding plays. With Buffalo lined up for a third-
down play facing a 10-point deficit, Liuget sacked Bills quarterback E.J.
Manuel, forcing a fumble that resulted in a 17-yard loss. He later pressured
Manuel deep in Buffalo territory, which led to an intentional grounding in the
end zone resulting in a safety.

Tucker, the special teams player of the week, connected on all three field
goals, including the game-winner from 32 yards as time expired in the Ravens’
23-21 win at Cleveland.
