Mississippi State C Day suspended one game

Birmingham, AL (SportsNetwork.com) – The Southeastern Conference suspended
Mississippi State center Dillon Day one game Tuesday for stomping on a pair of
LSU players in last week’s game against the Tigers.

Day, a four-year starter for the Bulldogs, will be forced to sit out 14th-
ranked Mississippi State’s matchup against No. 6 Texas A&M on October 4 for
what the league called “the result of multiple flagrant and unsportsmanlike
acts during the game, as well as previous disciplinary action for similar
behavior.”

The senior linemen had been previously suspended the first half of a game last
season after being ejected in the Bulldogs’ 2013 contest against Auburn.

Television cameras caught Day stepping on LSU defenders Davon Godchaux and
Rashard Robinson on separate plays during Mississippi State’s 34-29 win over
the Tigers in Baton Rouge on Saturday.
