Gainesville, FL (SportsNetwork.com) – Will Muschamp’s days as Florida’s head
football coach are reportedly coming to an end.
The Gainesville Sun cited multiple sources Sunday as saying Muschamp will step
down.
According to the Sun, Muschamp will still coach the remainder of the regular
season for the Gators, who are 5-4 with games remaining against Eastern
Kentucky and Florida State.
Florida had won two straight, including an impressive 38-20 triumph over
Georgia two weeks ago, before Saturday’s 23-20 overtime loss at home against
South Carolina and former Gators coach Steve Spurrier. It marked Florida’s
third straight home loss.
The Gators are just 27-20 under Muschamp, including 17-15 in the SEC.
