Tallahassee, FL (SportsNetwork.com) – Jameis Winston tossed two touchdown
passes, Karlos Williams ran for the go-ahead 1-yard score with 7:39 left in
the fourth quarter and No. 2 Florida State hung on for a thrilling 31-27 win
over No. 5 Notre Dame on Saturday night.
After converting a 4th-and-18 earlier in the drive, the Fighting Irish faced a
4th-and-goal from the 2 with less than a minute remaining, but an offensive
pass interference was called after Corey Robinson caught a pass in the end
zone to move the ball back to the 18.
Everett Golson’s 4th-and-goal pass was interecepted by Jacob Pugh in the back
of the end zone to seal the nail-biting victory and give Florida State its
23rd straight win.
