Norfolk, VA (SportsNetwork.com) – Norfolk State senior linebacker Lynden Trail
has been invited to participate in both the Reese’s Senior Bowl and the East-
West Shrine Game in January.
The 90th East-West Shrine Game will be played Jan. 17 at Tropicana Field in St.
Petersburg, Florida. The 66th Senior Bowl will be played a week later on Jan.
24 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.
Trail, a two-time finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award which honors the
outstanding defensive player in the FCS, would be the second Norfolk State
player to participate in the Shrine Game, following Don Carey in 2009, and the
first in the Senior Bowl.
Trail completed his three-year NSU career on Saturday. A transfer from the
University of Florida in 2012, he finished his senior season with 91 total
tackles, 11.5 for loss and five sacks.
