Glendale, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) – Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer
will be active for Sunday’s game against the Washington Redskins, though the
team has not indicated whether or not he’ll start the contest.
Palmer, sidelined for the Cardinals’ past three games with a nerve issue in
his throwing shoulder and listed as questionable for Sunday’s tilt, is one of
three active quarterbacks for Arizona, along with Drew Stanton and rookie
Logan Thomas.
Stanton took over for Palmer and guided Arizona to wins over the New York
Giants and San Francisco, but sustained a concussion during last week’s 41-20
loss at Denver. He was termed questionable as well for Sunday’s contest.
Thomas, a fourth-round pick in the 2014 draft, saw his first NFL action after
Stanton’s injury and hit on just 1-of-8 passes, though his lone completion was
an 81-yard touchdown to Andre Ellington.
