Seahawks take CB Lane off IR

Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) – The Seattle Seahawks have activated Jeremy
Lane from injured reserve/designated to return, with the nickel back eligible
to participate in Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.

Lane injured his groin in Seattle’s season-opening win over Green Bay and
missed the team’s last seven games as a result.

The third-year pro’s return is welcome news for a Seahawks secondary that
could be without a pair of starters for Sunday’s tilt. Safety Kam Chancellor
is listed as doubtful with a groin strain and cornerback Byron Maxwell is
questionable with a calf injury that’s kept him out of Seattle’s past three
contests.

Backup center Stephen Schilling was placed on injured reserve in a
corresponding move after hurting his knee against Oakland last week.
