Shields out, Williams questionable for Sunday

Green Bay, WI (SportsNetwork.com) – The Green Bay Packers have ruled out
cornerback Sam Shields for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

Shields did not practice this week due to a knee injury. He has 14 tackles and
two interceptions in six games this season.

Fellow cornerback Tramon Williams is questionable with an ankle injury.
Williams hasn’t missed a game since 2011.

Shields and Williams were injured in the second half of last week’s win at
Miami. Casey Hayward is listed as the top backup to Shields, with Davon House
next up behind Williams, per the team’s depth chart.

Elsewhere on the injury report, defensive end Datone Jones (ankle) is out and
will miss his second straight game. Wide receiver Jarrett Boykin (groin) is
questionable.
