Buffalo, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – The University of Buffalo’s 2014 home
football finale against Kent State rescheduled for Friday has now been
cancelled due to the massive snowstorm that has leveled upstate New York.
The Mid American Conference tilt was originally set to take place Wednesday
night at UB Stadium, but was moved to Friday at 1 p.m. et by the blizzard that
dumped as much as six feet of snow in the Buffalo area.
The storm has also forced Sunday’s NFL game between the Bills and New York
Jets to be moved to a yet-to-be determined location, and also caused the
postponement of Friday’s NHL matchup between the Sabres and New York Rangers.
Both Buffalo (4-6) and Kent State (1-9) will have their seasons shortened to
11 games, with each team to conclude its campaign next week.
