Sproles, Fuller and Ginn named NFC Players of the Week

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – Philadelphia Eagles running back Darren
Sproles, Chicago Bears cornerback Kyle Fuller and Arizona Cardinals punt
returner Ted Ginn, Jr. were named the NFC’s top performers for Week 2 of the
NFL season.

Sproles earned his first offensive player of the week award after catching
seven passes for a career-high 152 yards and adding a 19-yard touchdown run in
the Eagles’ come-from-behind win at Indianapolis on Monday night.

He became the first running back with two receptions of at least 50 yards in
one game since Eric Metcalf in 1992.

Fuller, the 14th overall pick in this year’s draft, earned the defensive honor
with two interceptions and six tackles in Chicago’s win at San Francisco on
Sunday night.

Ginn returned a punt 71 yards for the go-ahead touchdown as Arizona rallied
beat the New York Giants on Sunday. He is the second return man to receive the
weekly special teams award with three different teams, joining Darrien Gordon.
Ginn also won with Miami and San Francisco.
