Stanton to start for Cardinals vs. 49ers

Tempe, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) – Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians announced
Friday that quarterback Drew Stanton will start Sunday against the San
Francisco 49ers.

Stanton made his first start since 2010 last week, completing 14-of-29
passes for 167 yards in a win over the Giants.

Carson Palmer has been dealing with a shoulder injury that occurred in
Arizona’s season-opening win over the Chargers. If Palmer can play on Sunday,
he’ll be the backup.

Palmer was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report. Defensive end
Frostee Rucker (calf) and tight end Rob Housler (hip) are also questionable.

Linebacker Alex Okafor (thigh) and punter Dave Zastudil (groin) have been
ruled out.
