State, 42-9, ending the Cowboys’ eight-game win streak against teams from
Texas.
Boykin completed 26-of-39 passes and gained 41 yards on the ground for TCU
(5-1, 2-1 Big 12), which coughed up a 21-point fourth quarter lead against
Baylor last week to suffer its first loss of the season. The Horned Frogs got
back on track in a big way in this one, outgaining the Cowboys 676-258.
B.J. Catalon carried 10 times for 102 yards and a pair of touchdowns, giving
the 5-foot-9 running back three straight multi-touchdown games. He has scored
on the ground at least once in all six games this season.
Josh Doctson hauled in early touchdown passes of 77 and 84 yards, finishing
with seven grabs for a career-high 225 in the rout.
Daxx Garman and the Cowboys were bottled up by a TCU defense that allowed 61
points a week ago. Garman completed just 10-of-25 attempts for 132 yards and
two interceptions as OSU (5-2, 3-1) saw its five-game win streak following a
Week 1 loss to Florida State come to an end.
