Titans add Orakpo, re-sign Morgan

Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) – The Tennessee Titans have signed free-
agent outside linebacker Brian Orakpo and brought back fellow pass-rusher
Derrick Morgan, part of a slew of moves the team announced Friday.

Both Orakpo and Morgan agreed to terms on four-year contracts, according to
multiple reports.

Additionally, the Titans re-signed both kicker Ryan Succop and defensive
lineman Karl Klug and added veteran tight end Anthony Fasano.

Orakpo will join the Titans after six seasons with the Washington Redskins
while Morgan returns for a sixth season in Nashville.

Franchised by the Redskins last March, Orakpo was placed on injured reserve in
October after just seven games because of a torn right pectoral muscle — the
second time in three years his season was cut short by the same injury.

One of the Redskins’ top pass rushers since he was taken in the first round of
the 2009 draft, the 28-year-old Orakpo had 254 tackles and 40 sacks in 71
games — all starts — for the team.

He had 24 tackles and a half-sack last season before he was injured in a Week
7 win over Tennessee.

Orakpo’s 2012 season was cut short after just two games due to a left pectoral
tear, but he rebounded to earn his third career Pro Bowl nod after getting 10
sacks and 60 tackles in 15 games in 2013.

Morgan, 26, has posted at least six sacks in each of the last three seasons
and has 23 since being drafted in the first round by the Titans in 2010. He
had 63 tackles and 6 1/2 sacks in 16 starts last season.

Succop garnered a three-year deal, according to the Tennessean, after making
19-of-22 field goal attempts and all 27 of his extra-point tries during his
first season as a Titan in 2014.

The 28-year-old spent his first five seasons kicking for the Kansas City
Chiefs and owns a career accuracy rate of 81.7 percent (138-of-169) on field
goals.

Fasano joins Tennessee on a reported two-year contract. The nine-year veteran
was released by Kansas City last month.

Over 132 career games with Dallas, Miami and the Chiefs, Fasano has compiled
253 catches for 2,799 yards and 35 touchdowns. He had 25 receptions totaling
226 yards with four scores while starting 13 times in 2014.

Klug has spent his entire four-year NFL tenure with the Titans and has amassed
14 1/2 sacks over 64 career games, mostly as a rotational lineman.
