Stillwater, OK (SportsNetwork.com) – Clint Trickett threw two early touchdown
passes and No. 22 West Virginia blanked Oklahoma State in the second half to
run away with a 34-10 win at Boone Pickens Stadium.
Trickett completed 21-of-30 passes for 238 yards, as WVU (6-2, 4-1 Big 12) won
its fourth straight game to improve to 3-0 on the road this season. The senior
QB has thrown at least two touchdowns in six of his last seven games.
Wendell Smallwood got the start for injured running back Russel Shell (ankle)
and carried 23 times for a career-high 132 yards. Kevin White and Mario Alford
had touchdown receptions, though White was held under 100 yards for the first
time this season.
It was another forgettable performance from OSU quarterback Daxx Garman, who
went 21-of-41 for 242 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. The
Cowboys (5-3, 3-2) have dropped five straight against ranked opponents.
