Vikings RT Loadholt out for the year

Eden Prairie, MN (SportsNetwork.com) – Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer
confirmed Monday that right tackle Phil Loadholt will miss the rest of the
season.

Loadholt tore his pectoral muscle in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 24-21 loss
to the Packers. He was replaced by backup offensive tackle Mike Harris and did
not return to the game.

The 28-year-old Loadholt is the second Vikings offensive lineman lost for the
season. Right guard Brandon Fusco suffered a similar injury early in the year.

Loadholt is in his sixth season with the Vikings. He started 11 games this
season.

Harris started 12 games for the Chargers in 2012 and 2013.

Zimmer also told reporters that running back Matt Asiata is still going
through the league’s concussion protocol. Asiata was unable to play on Sunday
against Green Bay.
